Paediatrics SpR (Specialist Registrar) - Locum
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Paediatrics SpR (Specialist Registrar) to join a dynamic paediatric team, providing high-quality care across paediatric wards, emergency settings, and neonatal units. The role involves managing acute and complex paediatric cases, working alongside consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a variety of paediatric and neonatal conditions.
- Provide emergency and critical care support in paediatric and neonatal resuscitations.
- Perform clinical procedures, including airway management, lumbar punctures, and cannulation.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and paediatric emergency cases.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including neonatologists, paediatricians, and nursing staff.
- Supervise and support junior doctors and medical trainees.
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with NHS protocols.
Requirements
- GMC registration with a valid license to practice in the UK.
- Extensive experience at SpR level in Paediatrics.
- Valid Paediatric Life Support (PLS) and Neonatal Life Support (NLS) certifications (essential).
- Strong ability to work in high-pressure emergency settings.
- Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
