Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Specialist Registrar (SpR) to join our Emergency Department, providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The role involves assessing and managing acute presentations, stabilizing critically ill patients, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions.
- Perform rapid diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment of critically ill or injured patients.
- Lead resuscitation efforts in cases of cardiac arrest, major trauma, or other medical emergencies.
- Supervise and support junior doctors and clinical staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, nurses, paramedics, and allied health professionals.
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation and contribute to patient care plans.
- Participate in clinical audits, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Manage patient flow effectively to ensure the efficient operation of the Emergency Department.
- Communicate with patients, families, and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, patient safety standards, and GMC guidelines.
Requirements
- Recent UK A&E experience is essential.
- A&E references must be provided.
- Ability to manage a wide range of emergency cases efficiently.
- Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills.
