We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetics Consultant to join a dynamic team, providing high-quality anaesthetic care across surgical, critical care, and emergency settings. The role involves delivering safe and effective anaesthesia, supervising junior doctors, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide anaesthetic care for elective and emergency surgical procedures.
- Perform pre-operative assessments and develop anaesthetic plans tailored to patient needs.
- Manage post-operative pain relief and critical care interventions.
- Work in ICU, theatres, and emergency resuscitation scenarios.
- Supervise and train junior doctors and anaesthetic trainees.
- Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with NHS guidelines and patient safety protocols.
Requirements
- GMC registration with a valid license to practice in the UK.
- Extensive experience in anaesthesia and perioperative care.
- Expertise in regional and general anaesthesia, airway management, and critical care.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
