Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine SpR (Specialist Registrar) Locum to join a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED). The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute medical and trauma cases, working closely with consultants and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality emergency care.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage critically ill and injured patients in the ED.
- Perform advanced clinical procedures, including airway management, resuscitation, and trauma stabilization.
- Lead and support junior doctors, providing clinical supervision and training.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient management.
- Participate in clinical audits, governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with NHS guidelines, protocols, and patient safety standards.
Requirements
- GMC registration with a valid license to practice in the UK.
- Extensive experience in Emergency Medicine at SpR level.
- Proficiency in advanced life support (ALS, ATLS, APLS) and emergency procedures.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure in a high-acuity environment.
- Excellent leadership and teamwork abilities.
