Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated SHO in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) to join a dynamic maternity and gynaecology unit, providing high-quality care to patients. The role involves working under the supervision of senior clinicians, assisting in antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, as well as managing gynaecological emergencies and routine cases.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of obstetric and gynaecological patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conduct clinical assessments, examinations, and routine procedures under supervision.
- Support labour ward duties, including monitoring fetal well-being and assisting in deliveries.
- Participate in gynaecological emergency care, including early pregnancy assessments.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in patient handovers.
- Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and training programs.
Requirements
- GMC registration with a valid license to practice in the UK.
- Previous experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology is desirable.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing emergencies and routine care.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must work via PWC DE (applications outside this will not be considered).
