Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Stroke Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team, providing expert care for patients with stroke and related cerebrovascular conditions. The successful candidate must possess MRCP and have clinical experience in Stroke Medicine, along with a background in Acute Medicine, General Medicine, Neurology, or Geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist stroke care, including acute stroke management, thrombolysis, and thrombectomy pathways.
- Conduct ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and participate in MDT meetings.
- Collaborate with stroke rehabilitation teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Supervise junior doctors and contribute to training and development.
- Engage in quality improvement, research, and audits within stroke services.
Requirements
- MRCP qualification is essential.
- Significant experience in Stroke Medicine in an NHS or UK hospital setting.
- Expertise in managing acute and post-acute stroke patients.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to contribute to service development and research initiatives.
