Job Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide a highly specialist psychological service supporting patients with persistent pain and contributing to the Moving Well Pain and ME/CFS multi-disciplinary team. This role involves jointly planning, delivering, and evaluating specialized Pain Management Programmes in a group-based approach, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to ensure effective psychological care.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for patients with persistent pain.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate Pain Management Programmes in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Offer expert advice to the team on psychological care strategies for pain management.
- Facilitate the integration of psychological approaches into the overall pain management plan.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of services to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with clinicians to develop individualized care plans and treatment strategies.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of psychological interventions and make adjustments where necessary.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
- HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Experience in pain management and providing psychological interventions for patients with chronic pain.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention.
- Experience in delivering group-based therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and support team members in the delivery of psychological care.
