Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) with dysphagia training and expertise in stroke and acquired brain injury (ABI). Community experience is desirable but not essential. The role requires recent experience working with adult neuro conditions and providing therapy to individuals with acquired conditions, not paediatric. We are open to applications from Band 5 and Band 7 candidates, with the role tailored to fit the relevant banding based on the candidate's experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment and therapy for adults with stroke and acquired brain injury (ABI).
- Specialize in dysphagia management and treatment.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and rehabilitation.
- Tailor therapy plans to the individual’s needs, focusing on functional communication and swallowing.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
Requirements
- Dysphagia trained with experience in adult neuro conditions.
- Recent experience in stroke and ABI rehabilitation.
- Applicants from Band 5 or Band 7 will be considered based on their relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
