Job Overview

We are seeking a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) with a core profession (RMN, NMC-registered nurse – children or general, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker) and CAMHS experience. The role involves assessing, supporting, and managing young people’s mental health needs within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health assessments and develop care plans for children and adolescents.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and crisis management support.
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure safeguarding practices and appropriate referrals to specialist services.
  • Contribute to service development and multidisciplinary team discussions.

Requirements

  • Registered RMN, NMC (Children/General), Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker.
  • Experience in CAMHS and working with young people’s mental health.
  • Strong clinical assessment, risk management, and intervention skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
