Job Overview
We are seeking a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) with a core profession (RMN, NMC-registered nurse – children or general, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker) and CAMHS experience. The role involves assessing, supporting, and managing young people’s mental health needs within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments and develop care plans for children and adolescents.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and crisis management support.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure safeguarding practices and appropriate referrals to specialist services.
- Contribute to service development and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Requirements
- Registered RMN, NMC (Children/General), Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker.
- Experience in CAMHS and working with young people’s mental health.
- Strong clinical assessment, risk management, and intervention skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
