Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Setting
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Care Home Manager to oversee the care and well-being of children, including those with disabilities, in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and management experience, ensuring high standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the residential home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality care environment.
- Supervise and support staff, fostering professional development and effective team management.
- Register with Ofsted as the home’s manager and oversee compliance with SCCIF and children's homes regulations.
- Ensure the home meets all regulatory standards and is prepared for Ofsted inspections.
- Develop and implement care plans that support the individual needs of children, promoting their independence and well-being.
Requirements

Essential:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the last 5 years in residential care for children and/or disabilities.
- Minimum 2 years of management experience, including staff supervision.
- Willingness to register with Ofsted as the home’s manager.
Desirable:
- Experience in leadership and management of children's residential care, preferably as a registered manager.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (or willingness to complete it).
- Knowledge of SCCIF and children's home regulations.
- Experience with Ofsted inspections.
