T&O Registrar (ST3-8)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated T&O Registrar (ST3-8) to join our Paediatric Trauma & Orthopaedics team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of clinical responsibilities, including managing patients in the fracture clinic, supporting elective clinics, participating in trauma theatre and elective theatre sessions, and engaging in audits and MDT discussions to provide comprehensive care for paediatric trauma and orthopaedic conditions.
Responsibilities
- Manage patients in the fracture clinic and support in the assessment and treatment of paediatric fractures and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Participate in elective clinics and contribute to pre-operative assessment and management of paediatric patients.
- Assist in trauma theatre sessions, providing support in the surgical management of paediatric trauma cases.
- Assist in elective theatre sessions for planned surgeries, including orthopaedic procedures for children.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement projects, and clinical governance activities.
- Engage in MDT discussions, contributing to case reviews, treatment plans, and patient management.
Requirements
- ST3-8 level training in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
- Experience or strong interest in paediatric orthopaedics.
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to quality patient care.
