Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert anaesthetic care across a wide range of specialties, including surgical, obstetric, and intensive care. As a Consultant, you will be involved in the delivery of high-quality anaesthesia services, service development, and the education and supervision of junior medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist anaesthetic services for a wide range of procedures including general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, and intensive care.
- Offer expert advice and clinical leadership to the anaesthetic department and the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in on-call rotas and provide timely and effective anaesthetic services in urgent and emergency settings.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors and contribute to their professional development.
- Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in teaching, training, and research to further enhance anaesthesia services.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with a specialist interest or qualification in anaesthesia.
- Significant clinical experience in anaesthesia, ideally in a variety of specialities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills.
- Experience in providing high-quality anaesthetic care in both elective and emergency settings.
