Job Overview
We are looking for a CAMHS Community Consultant to join our team, providing specialist medical care to children and adolescents in the community setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), delivering high-quality assessments, treatment plans, and supporting the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychiatric assessments and treatment for children and adolescents with mental health issues in the community.
- Lead in the development and implementation of care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and supervision to junior medical staff and other professionals.
- On-site working only, ensuring direct patient care and active participation in local service delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with trust policies and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to clinical governance and service development within CAMHS.
- Participate in training, education, and research within the service and contribute to the development of new clinical pathways.
Requirements
- S12 and AC approvals required.
- Full GMC registration with relevant experience in CAMHS.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team in providing high-quality, community-based mental health care for children and adolescents.
