Clinical Oncology Consultant - CDCS
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Oncology Consultant to provide expert care in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients. The successful candidate will lead radiotherapy and systemic therapy services, work within a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to service development, research, and training.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality oncological care, including radiotherapy and systemic therapies.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary cancer team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Contribute to clinical trials, research, and service innovation.
- Participate in teaching, training, and development of oncology services.
- Engage in clinical governance, quality improvement, and audit initiatives.
- Take part in the on-call rota as per service requirements.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register in Clinical Oncology (or within six months of attaining CCT).
- Expertise in radiotherapy planning and systemic cancer treatments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
