Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Stroke Consultant to lead the delivery of high-quality care in Stroke Medicine. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing patients across the hyper-acute, acute, and rehabilitation phases, working within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical leadership in the management of stroke patients.
- Deliver high-quality care across hyper-acute, acute, and stroke rehabilitation services.
- Participate in stroke thrombolysis and thrombectomy pathways as required.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance initiatives.
- Engage in teaching, training, and research within the stroke specialty.
- Participate in the on-call rota as per service requirements.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register in Stroke Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, or Neurology (or within six months of attaining CCT).
- Extensive experience in Stroke Medicine, including acute and rehabilitative care.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-working skills.
