Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced PICU Consultant to provide expert clinical care and leadership in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing critically ill children, supervising junior medical staff, and ensuring high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced clinical management for critically ill children in the PICU.
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and research initiatives.
- Ensure effective decision-making and best practice approaches to patient safety and care.
- Participate in audit, teaching, and quality improvement programs.
Requirements
- Must be AC (Approved Clinician) & S12 qualified.
- Full GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register.
- Extensive experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
