Senior Emergency Nurse Practitioner
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care in the management of minor injuries and minor illness for patients aged 2 and upwards, working in a fast-paced and dynamic emergency department setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat minor injuries and illnesses in patients of all ages.
- Utilize X-ray interpretation skills to support clinical decision-making and treatment plans.
- Provide expert care in line with Patient Group Directives (PGDs), ideally at level 7.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the safe and efficient management of patients.
- Deliver high standards of patient care while ensuring effective documentation and record-keeping.
- Support junior staff and contribute to service development, audits, and clinical education.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant qualifications in minor injury and minor illness care.
- X-ray interpretation skills and experience with PGDs, preferably at level 7.
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a busy, patient-focused environment.
