Registrar – General Surgery & Urology On-Call Shift
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registrar to cover on-call shifts in General Surgery & Urology, ensuring the effective management of acute and emergency cases in both specialties. The successful candidate will work alongside senior clinicians and the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support and decision-making during General Surgery and Urology on-call shifts.
- Manage a range of acute and emergency cases, including trauma and urgent surgical interventions.
- Assist in ward rounds, theatres, and clinics, providing timely patient care.
- Collaborate with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe patient management.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and maintain clinical records in line with trust policies.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration and prior experience in General Surgery & Urology or related specialties.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and make clinical decisions in urgent situations.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
