Medical Consultant (On-Call Duties Included)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Consultant to provide expert clinical care, including participation in the on-call rota, ensuring the effective management of acute and general medical patients. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and acute settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and acute patient management.
- Provide senior clinical decision-making for emergency admissions and deteriorating patients.
- Participate in on-call duties, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of urgent cases.
- Supervise and support junior doctors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to service development, audits, and teaching initiatives.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCT.
- Extensive experience in general medicine or a relevant specialty.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
