Consultant CAMHS Doctor
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Consultant CAMHS Doctor to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating young people with complex mental health conditions, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for children and adolescents.
- Work collaboratively with psychologists, therapists, nurses, and social workers to deliver integrated care.
- Provide leadership and clinical supervision within the CAMHS team.
- Contribute to service development, audits, and training initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Mental Health Act regulations, including providing S12-approved assessments.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- S12 approval under the Mental Health Act and Approved Clinician (AC) status.
- Significant experience in CAMHS and multidisciplinary working.
