Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced A&E Specialty Registrar (SPR) to join our dynamic Accident & Emergency department. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with acute and complex conditions in a fast-paced emergency setting. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care while supporting junior doctors and contributing to service improvements.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert emergency care, assessing and managing critically ill and injured patients.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient management.
- Supervise and support junior doctors, offering guidance and clinical teaching.
- Participate in resuscitation, trauma management, and rapid decision-making in a high-pressure environment.
- Engage in audits, research, and service development to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Full GMC Registration with relevant emergency medicine experience.
- Prior experience working at SPR level in A&E in the UK healthcare system.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure.
