SpR in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Specialist Registrar (SpR) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) with a valid RCOG Certificate of Eligibility to join a dynamic maternity and gynaecology team. The role involves providing comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care, including managing labour ward cases, conducting antenatal and postnatal assessments, and performing gynaecological procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist obstetric and gynaecological care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Manage high-risk pregnancies, deliveries, and gynaecological emergencies.
- Perform caesarean sections, instrumental deliveries, and gynaecological surgeries under supervision.
- Lead ward rounds and ensure effective patient management in collaboration with consultants.
- Participate in on-call rotas, responding to urgent O&G cases.
- Provide teaching and mentorship to junior doctors and medical trainees.
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and adhere to NHS and GMC guidelines.
Requirements
- Valid GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
- RCOG Certificate of Eligibility (essential).
- Proven experience at Specialist Registrar (SpR) level in O&G.
- Strong skills in labour ward management, emergency gynaecology, and surgical procedures.
- Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
