An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rheumatology Consultant to join a multidisciplinary team, providing expert care for patients with a wide range of inflammatory and musculoskeletal conditions. The role involves leading outpatient clinics, supervising junior doctors, contributing to service development, and engaging in research and teaching.
Responsibilities
- Specialist Rheumatology Care: Diagnose and manage rheumatologic conditions, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, and osteoporosis.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with specialist nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Service Development: Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to advancing rheumatology services.
- Teaching & Research: Support the training of junior doctors and medical students while participating in clinical research and trials.
Requirements
- GMC Specialist Registration in Rheumatology (or within 6 months of attaining CCT at the time of interview).
- Extensive experience in managing complex rheumatologic conditions.
- Commitment to service improvement, education, and research.
