Requirements

urgical Instrumentation and Sterile Techniques:
- Proficiency in preparing and handling surgical instruments, ensuring sterility, and maintaining
aseptic conditions during procedures.
- Standard Knee Implants: High proficiency
- Gender-Specific Knee Implants: Moderate proficiency
- Customized Knee Implants: Moderate proficiency
- Minimally Invasive Knee Implants: High proficiency
- Revision Knee Implants: Advanced proficiency
- Computer-Assisted Knee Implants: Advanced proficiency
- Knowledge of specific instruments used in knee and hip replacements and spinal surgeries.
- Proficiency in preparing and handling surgical instruments, ensuring sterility, and maintaining
aseptic conditions during procedures.
- Procedure-Specific Knowledge:
- Understanding the steps involved in total knee and hip replacements, including implant selection, positioning, and wound closure.
- Familiarity with spinal decompression techniques, instrumentation, and patient positioning.
- Team Collaboration:
- Effective communication with surgeons, anesthetists, and other team members.
- Anticipating the surgeon’s needs during the procedure and providing timely instrument exchange.
- Patient Care and Safety:
- Monitoring patient vitals during surgery.
- Ensuring patient positioning and comfort.
- Recognizing and addressing any intraoperative complications promptly.
- Adaptability and Problem-Solving:
- Ability to handle unexpected situations (e.g., bleeding, equipment malfunction) calmly and efficiently.
- Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Time Management:
- Efficiently organizing instruments and supplies to minimize surgical time.
- Assisting with patient positioning and draping promptly.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Accurate documentation of instruments used, sponge counts, and any incidents during surgery.
