Respiratory Consultant (Locum)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Consultant who has previously worked in the NHS, with expertise in managing a wide range of respiratory conditions. The ideal candidate must be proficient in using Lorenzo and Derby systems and demonstrate strong clinical leadership in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions, including COPD, asthma, ILD, and lung infections.
- Provide specialist input for critical care, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive ventilation (NIV).
- Lead multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions and collaborate with other specialists.
- Conduct outpatient clinics and manage inpatient respiratory cases.
- Utilize Lorenzo and Derby systems for patient documentation and clinical management.
- Participate in clinical audits, research, and service development initiatives.
- Supervise and train junior doctors and allied healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Must have worked as a Respiratory Consultant within the NHS.
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
- Expertise in managing complex respiratory cases.
- Proficiency in using Lorenzo and Derby systems (essential).
- Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
