Job Overview

We are seeking a Community Consultant with DOMPH (Directorate of Older People's Mental Health) experience to cover the Penzance and Truro areas. This is a full-time, on-site role, where the successful candidate will provide expert mental health care to older people in the community setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist assessments and treatment for older patients with mental health conditions in the community.
  • Work across both Penzance and Truro, delivering high-quality care tailored to the needs of the local population.
  • Lead the development and implementation of care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure clinical leadership within the service, supervising and supporting junior staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in line with trust policies and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and service development in the Directorate of Older People’s Mental Health.
  • Participate in teaching, training, and research within the service.

Requirements

  • S12 and AC/RC approval is required.
  • Full GMC registration and relevant DOMPH experience.
  • Proven expertise in providing community-based mental health care to older adults.
