Remity Staffing Solution LTD recognizes the urgent need to address climate change and is committed to reducing its carbon footprint to achieve net-zero emissions by 2051. This Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) outlines our strategy and commitment to sustainability, aligning with UK net-zero targets and best practices.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Remity staffing solution limited began collecting emissions data in accordance with the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) requirement for our financial year ending 14/Dec/2022. In accordance with these requirements, we have Scope 1 and 2 emissions for one reporting years and have used the six month as our baseline. Full Scope 3 data has not been collected or reported for these years as this was not required, but as per reporting guidance, vehicle emissions have been included in Scope 3 calculations. personal car usage for business purposes was derived from our expenses claim system. This represents a partial report against Scope 3 category 6 Business travel. We are in the process of gathering Scope 3 emissions data to establish a clear baseline and will include this in our SECR report for the current financial year, ending 14/Dec/2022.

Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 27.3 tCO2e by 2027. This is a reduction of 9 %.

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2022 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 27.3 tCO2e, a 9 % reduction against the 2022 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.

Remity staffing solution limited will implement the following measures in regards to:
  • Fleet transitions
    • Gradually replace petrol/diesel vehicles with electric or hybrid alternatives.
    • Incentivize employees to use low-emission vehicles for business travel.
    • Implement a policy promoting carpooling or public transportation for commuting.
  • Heating efficiency
    • Upgrade to more efficient heating systems (e.g., heat pumps).
    • Improve building insulation to reduce heat loss.
    • Optimize thermostat settings for energy savings.
  • Use energy efficient appliances
    • Conduct an energy audit to identify areas for improvement.
    • Replace inefficient lighting with LED bulbs.
    • Use energy-saving appliances and power management settings on electronics.
  • Enabling Transition for employee commuting
    • Promote cycling, walking, and public transport through incentives or subsidies.
    • Offer remote work options to reduce commuting frequency.
    • Organize carpooling initiatives.
  • Business Travel transition
    • Prioritize video conferencing over in-person meetings whenever possible.
    • Choose direct flights and more fuel-efficient airlines for necessary travel.
    • Encourage the use of train travel for domestic trips.
  • Employee Engagement
    • Encourage employee participation in sustainability initiatives, provide training and resources, and recognize contributions.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Regularly review and update our Carbon Reduction plans.
    • Changing of internal review period to 3 years after 2032 in order achieve 0 net emissions.

Declaration and Sign Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
